So after the long wait Codemasters has officially announced GRID 2 next year (2013). Now we got a look at the trailer and lets talk abut what we saw. First the game, graphic wise look good sorta similar to Driver: San Francisco (at least the cut-seen did). The game said to be a street racing game but its actually a hybrid between a track/road similar to NFS: Pro Street. Codemasters did announce that the game will include a deep customization option that we hope will be comparable to NSF 2.
Now for does of you that do not remember NFS 2 let me recap on that great game. The game had the most awesome customization, something that we have not seen since then. The game also took place in a open world unlike Pro Street and GRID 2 but I guess we can deal with that. The only flaw that NS2 had was that it didn't have a wide car selection. In this trailer we can see Mustangs, Camaro’s, Nissan GTRs, Something that look like a Raptor, Corvette’s, Zhonda’s, Aston Martin’s, Mercedes Benz and Lamborghini’s, so we can said that there will be a good amount of cars to select in GRID 2.

The game will introduce a new engine called Ego Game Technology and the new TrueFeel Handling System which they say will be harder to master but will make the game feel more realistic. The did confirm a story mode and an Online Multiplayer hopefully it wont be like Need For Speed World and more like Forza motor Sports (just the online gaming) For this game I see a lot of potential specially if the they go back to the core of street racing games. All those games like the NFS franchise, Dirt, Burnout or any of those have not excited me at all these past years. I have more excitement playing CSR Racing in my iPod Touch that actually playing Dirt or any of those games. I hope that GRID 2 satisfy my street racing thirst.
My requirement are plain and simple. At least 400 cars (Grand Turismo 5 has over 1,000 cars) with almost everything customizable and a master mode for real Racing geeks that like to tweak their cars in a very realistic way. A Open world map but if they are going to make it race tracks only then at least 200 tracks to choose from. A stable online experience, glad free and moders free. That is all I ask for, what you guys think?
Here its the video let us know what y'all think about this new racing game?
